eThekwini Municipality’s Imagine Durban Project will host its fourth Sustainable Living Exhibition from the 6th-8th September 2013 and is inviting organisations that are interested in exhibiting to register by the 31st May 2013. The aim of the exhibition is to inspire eThekwini Municipality residents and organisations to adopt a sustainable lifestyle in order to reduce our impact on the environment. Last year the exhibition was attended by over 12,000 people.

The focus of this year’s exhibition will be on environmental sustainability and the eThekwini Municipality is looking for exhibitors to share their initiatives in the following focus areas:

  • Energy efficiency and renewable energy
  • Waste minimisation and recycling
  • Water harvesting and conservation
  • Food gardening
  • Climate change adaption and mitigation
  • Biodiversity protection
  • Green home improvement
  • Creative arts

Individuals, non-profit organisations, schools, government departments, state owned enterprises and businesses are invited to exhibit their environmental sustainability initiatives. Businesses will be charged R3,000 to exhibit for the full three days, and community based organisations and non-governmental organisations R250. Registration for Schools is free.

Exhibitors are asked to complete the registration form below by the 31st of May 2013 and send it to Dorothy Lutchmiah at dorothy.lutchmiah@durban.gov.za.
